Behind the Scenes: Our First Photoshoot
Our first photoshoot took place in January this year. If you’ve ever organised a shoot, you’ll know just how much hard work is involved. We spent about two months planning it, not to mention finding the right photographer, the right stylist, finding a location to best reflect our brand, selecting the products we wanted to shoot, and sourcing the props.
On the day of the shoot, we were up with the larks around 4.30 am. The van was jam-packed (and we’re talking every last inch of space) with props and products ready for a three-hour drive. The chosen venue was Brixton East 1871 – a gorgeous 19th-century furniture warehouse oozing with character and charm. Think large windows, double-height ceilings, bare wooden floors, white brickwork, metal columns, chunky wooden beams, and you’ll get the gist.
Our photoshoot crew, otherwise known as ‘The A-Team’, worked together with military precision. Even when the sky went black, due to a freakish, unexpected storm, we still managed to plough on through. Without them, this website would look pretty dull!
We wanted to share a few behind-the-scenes photos and say a HUGE thank you to the following people (Clockwise from top left):
Laura Foreman - Chief Helper
Fiona Humberstone - Brand Developer
Antonia Roystone - Floral Designer
