Dried Grasses – On The Pampas Trail
Dried Grasses
Dried Grasses have been big news for a while now, and big, fluffy Pampas Grass is still the most popular of them all. We are lucky to have some great suppliers who source only the best quality pampas, with the fluffiest plumes, and little to no shedding. You may be looking for something different or want to know what else is available, so take a look below to see some top picks we usually have on sale on our webshop.
Some of the wonderful grasses we sell have been coloured but many are natural, offering a muted palette of greens, creams and browns. The coloured varieties range from pastels to brights, all cleverly dyed or painted using water-based vegetable colourants. Whether you're looking to create a cacophony of colour or an earthy mix, we have you covered!

Beachgrass
Beachgrass ears are really soft and pale almost like they have been bleached, When we have stock of this product, it doesn't hang around for long!
Arundo grass
Arundo grass looks rather like Pampas grass, making it a great alternative. We currently have Cane Arundo donax in stock, and at 115cm in length, with long plumes, it certainly compares well with pampas. In the wild, it can grow up to 6m tall and is native to the Mediterranean and North Africa.
Typha
Typha is commonly known as Bulrush or Bullrushes. In their natural habitat, they grow on the margins of freshwater lakes or rivers. We have different sizes in stock from large stems with chunky ‘cigars’ or the smaller stems which have more of a ‘cigarillo’ shaped tips.
Panicum Grass
Panicum Grass is sold in generous bunches. This product will go a long way, with just a few stems giving great results in bouquets. It combines very well with rose bouquets.
